About Pittsburgh Center for Holistic Dentistry

Located at 285 Kappa Dr Ste 170, Pittsburgh, PA 15238, Pittsburgh Center for Holistic Dentistry operates as a dentist serving Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as dental clinic, holistic medicine practitioner, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Pittsburgh, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Pennsylvania, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

Hours are published for 4 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (412) 631-8947. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, holisticdentistpgh.com.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 25 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded dentists in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Pittsburgh peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Been there , they sent me to do root canal in an other dentist of the area, to after put a crown, I wasn’t sure , thought i ll save my tooth, learned that the cut half of it, saving the root. The ceramic half was made in unnatural shape, that cost problems in the way i close my mouth. Also got 3 shot of anesthesia in the process., took the mercury and took my son there, believing it was a natural approach!. Couples years later i told my husband to go bc his front top tooth ship only in the very border. At HOLISTIC center they parched, the patch came off 2 days later!! They take cero responsibility and Say ONLY SOLUTION: a CROWN! Honestly! I still remember the dentist there telling me: β€œ if i new about a natural way … I wouldn’t loss all my teeths!”. Then Here i m trying to get something natural, and they want to cut all visible tooth and put a crown, for a very almost Nothing border of the tooth that broke???? And take not responsibility fir the 2 days last feeling they did??? Garbage work! NOT HOLISTIC, DON’T THRUST THIS PEOPLES, Also EXPENSIVE!!

My husband and I lost our dentist to retirement… Looking around for a HOLISTIC Dentist, we found this dental office. I would like to preface my comment with this… I am not a wordy person and I don’t write long reviews so I would like to sum it up in a short paragraph. If I could give this Office a 10 Star, I would in a heartbeat! My husband and I have both been there and have decided it is well worth the 40 minute drive to get to this office and make it our new dentist! I feel like we have met the majority of the staff for one reason or another, and must say, they don’t have a mean, unkind bone in their body! Everyone has been exceptionally kind, professional, gentle and attention to detail! It appears that it is a very well run HOLISTIC dental office, and we feel fortunate to have found them! My husband and I both have everything good to say about this Office! So far, so good!

Based on my experience, I do NOT recommend this dentist. I have waited to post this review. It was a traumatizing experience. I was referred here by my doctor for safe amalgam removal. I agreed to the treatment plan set forth by Dr. Tammy. It was very costly, but I trusted that I was improving my health by pursuing treatment here. After the first 2 crowns were done by Dr. Michele Rich, I started experiencing pain in my mouth. I had never experienced dental pain before starting work at this office. They assured me it would subside. They did 2 more crowns a few weeks later. The pain only intensified. It was excruciating pain, unable to eat solid foods. I would call the office, they would adjust bite and send me on my way. With no relief, I called again. Often, Dr. Rich was not in the office so I would have to suffer until she was back. She referred me to an endodontist and a pain clinic. I subsequently had an abscess in one of the teeth she worked on and had to get a root canal. I ended up seeing another dentist while traveling out of state who was able to fix my bite and relieved the pain. Then one of my new crowns popped off while flossing. The dentist that reinserted it told me it

Dr. Michele, Dr. Tammy, and staff are knowledgeable and caring and provide excellent, health-focused, state-of-the-art dental services. Quality crowns and restorations are produced on-site during the appointment. I'm grateful for the exceptional dental care I receive, and I highly recommend the Pittsburgh Center for Holistic Dentistry.

Kristan, the receptionist always seems to know my name and checks me in immediately upon arrival. My appointment was at noon and I was taken back at noon. The dental hygienist, Katie, was personable, professional and thorough. She listened and provided thoughtful responses to my questions. It's always a pleasure to see Dr. Michele Rich! (I actually enjoy seeing all the staff here...does anyone say that about their dentist?:)
